What it is

DeskWink lets web AI apps such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini work with folders on your own computer via a remote MCP connector. It can browse, read, search and propose edits to files you choose, with every change previewed for your approval. Only folders you share are visible, sensitive files such as .env and .ssh are blocked by default, and file contents are not stored in its database or logs. DeskWink is currently in closed beta and is free during the beta.
