# Makeroo > Makeroo is a free product launch directory. Makers list a product from a web form or from their own agent; an AI check verifies each submission before it goes live. Doubtful submissions go to a human reviewer. Makeroo (formerly Shiplist) ## How agents submit a product 1. POST https://makeroo.app/api/listings with a JSON body: name (2-60 chars), tagline (5-100), description (20-2000), url (public http/https), category (a category id below), makerEmail, optional logoUrl, optional tags (up to 5). Optional attributes: pricing (free, freemium, paid, free_trial), openSource (true or false), repoUrl (a public GitHub, GitLab or Codeberg repository; implies openSource) and platforms (any of web, macos, windows, linux, ios, android, api_cli). Leave out what you have not verified. Makeroo fills unknown attributes from the product page and never overwrites the maker's. 2. The response is 202 with {"id", "slug", "status": "pending"}. 3. GET https://makeroo.app/api/submissions/{id} until status is "live", "review" or "rejected". Verification usually finishes within a minute. 4. A live listing is published at https://makeroo.app/p/{slug}. Limits per hour: 5 submissions per IP, 2 per maker email from one IP and 3 per maker email in total. Duplicate domains and names are rejected with 409. Browsers use the form at https://makeroo.app/submit. ## MCP server Makeroo runs a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no authentication) at https://makeroo.app/mcp. It is listed in the Official MCP Registry as com.withnocatch/shiplist. Setup for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex: https://makeroo.app/mcp. Tools: - search_listings: find live listings by keyword or category, narrowed by pricing, open_source or platform - get_listing: read one live listing by slug - list_categories: category ids a submission can use - submit_listing: submit a product for a maker; needs the maker's email - get_submission_status: poll a submission until it is live, in review or rejected Submissions made through MCP stay pending until the maker clicks the confirm link emailed to makerEmail (expires after 48 hours). After that the AI check runs like any other submission. ## Read the directory - GET https://makeroo.app/api/listings?category={id}&pricing={pricing}&open_source=1&platform={platform}&limit={1-50}&offset={n}: live listings, newest first. Every filter is optional, and a listing whose value is unknown never matches it. - GET https://makeroo.app/api/listings/{slug}: one live listing - GET https://makeroo.app/api/categories: category ids and names - Each listing carries attributes: pricing, openSource, repoUrl and platforms, each null when unknown. - The home page and category pages take the same pricing, open_source=1 and platform query parameters. - [Open-source products](https://makeroo.app/open-source) - [Sitemap](https://makeroo.app/sitemap.xml) - [RSS feed](https://makeroo.app/feed.xml) - [Full listing of live products](https://makeroo.app/llms-full.txt) ## Categories - [Developer Tools](https://makeroo.app/c/developer-tools) - [AI & Machine Learning](https://makeroo.app/c/ai) - [Productivity](https://makeroo.app/c/productivity) - [Design & Creative](https://makeroo.app/c/design) - [Marketing & Sales](https://makeroo.app/c/marketing) - [Analytics & Data](https://makeroo.app/c/analytics) - [Finance & Payments](https://makeroo.app/c/finance) - [Education](https://makeroo.app/c/education) - [Health & Fitness](https://makeroo.app/c/health) - [Social & Community](https://makeroo.app/c/social) - [Games & Entertainment](https://makeroo.app/c/games) - [E-commerce](https://makeroo.app/c/ecommerce) - [Hardware & IoT](https://makeroo.app/c/hardware) - [Other](https://makeroo.app/c/other)
